VesselReady is a maritime compliance SaaS platform that helps vessel operators prepare for port state control (PSC), flag state, and classification society inspections. We process personal data as a data controller in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: name, email address, company name, and role when you register.
  • Vessel data: IMO number, vessel name, flag state, class society, and operational details you enter.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and device/browser information.
  • Audit evidence: photographs, document scans, and videos uploaded during inspection preparation.
  • Device data: device identifiers for paired mobile devices used in the field.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing and improving the VesselReady platform and services.
  • Generating inspection readiness scores and smart summary briefings.
  • Sending service notifications and important updates.
  • Analyzing usage patterns to improve the platform (anonymized).
  • Processing billing and subscription management.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your data based on: (a) performance of our contract with you, (b) your consent where applicable, (c) our legitimate interests in improving the platform, and (d) legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with: infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel), payment processors (Stripe), and analytics services — all under strict data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal and business purposes. Audit evidence is retained per your company's configured retention policy.
